Big game last Friday! 13 players and more 600 points available, so from the begin there were big chances to have a new leader at the end of the game. And so was! Jan-Willem wins the game with 524 points and 5 hits, followed by Richard with 333 points and 5 hits as well.

The Aftermath:

Dion and Irene, at the top of the ranking, could not keep their positions in the last game. They both lose 2 positions and now in pole position we have Jan-Willem (8 positions up) followed by Mark (that touched the leadership for few minutes during the last game). Good improvements for Meilof and Giovanni too: 4 positions up for both. Thanks to his last monster victory, Jan-Willem’s bounty goes from 71.67 (the lowest) to 136.29 (the second highest). The highest bounty is still on Irene’s head (138.83). Best killer: Richard with 6 victims
Now in the tournament we have 16 players, 13 of them played in the last game and 3 of them are new comers. The season is still far from the end but already there is a quite big gap between players: the “over 400″ and the “below 200″.

Holidays are over and people came back to… play poker! 10 players in the last game and over 500 points available, enough for end in 1st position. The victory goes to Irene that earns 423 point, followed by Mark and Dion.

The Aftermath:

6 newcomers in the last game for a total of 13 players! Just 3 of them improved their position and 7 of them goes down. Irene’s big victory is not enough to reach the pole position, but “just” the 2nd. Indeed Dion’s 3rd position in the last game makes him keep the leadership for just 10 points. Mark keeps the 3rd position.
Highest bounty for Irene with 164.6 points.

First game of the Winter-Spring season (the big one)! 7 players fought taking advantage of the several absences because of the Xmas period. The first position goes to Dion with 330 points and 3 kills.

10 players in the 13th game. Last game of the season for both Sulva and Edmund, that used this last chance to improve their final ranking, especially Edmund with the victory and 3 hits that makes in earn 430 point, the 3rd highest score of this season.

The Aftermath:

Amazing improve for Edmund that with his victory goes from 16th to 4th position! Improves even for Sulva, Richard and Oleg by 1, 2 and 2 positions respectively. Bad news for 9 players that lost from 1 to 5 positions. Still unchanged the podium and the bottom of the ranking.

GAME OVER: Lena is the new champion!

Hopes are gone. Lena in the last game increased even more the gap from Jaba to about 1000 points. Because of the actual ranking system, she doesn’t have the mathematical guarantee to be  the winner, because more players => more points, but the only chance for Jaba to be 1st is to have in the last game 22 players… to win… and to kill all of them…
So I think we can already declare Lena the new CASA poker champion!
But still chance to appear in the Hall of Fame for several players! So see you Friday for the last game of the season!

6 players joined the 12th game. The newcomer, Ward, destroyed the opponents obtaining almost a perfect game. For him 319 points and 4 hits.

The Aftermath:

The amazing game made by Ward lets him to reach the 14th position. Good performance for Sulva as well that goes 3 positions up. Lena, 3rd in the last game, increases more the distance from Jaba and Giovanni.

Nice surprise in the last game! Shona joined for the first time this season (and probably the last ) and takes with her in New Zealand the 1st position with a monster score! 519 points total (over 582 available), 157 of them just from the 6 players she kicked out! Second highest score achieved in one game that makes clear that… we still have hope!

The Aftermath:

Shona monster result makes her to go from the 22nd position to the 6th!!! 16 position up in one game! This fabulous result has a bad effect for 13 other players, that lose 2 or 1 positions. Only Mark and Edmund improved their rank, Edmund 1 pos up in 15th pos and Mark 5 pos up, arriving 6th with Shona.

Top 5 unchanged. Lena, undisturbed, played just to increase the distance from Jaba and Giovanni, and with her 3rd position in the last game the gap is now at 897 points from the second. With 3 games left only, she can relax.

The only thing Lena lost is the 1st position in the bounty ranking. The highest reward is now on Shona’s head, that with 183.8 passes Lena with 183.53. Unluckily, we have to say “so long” to these bounty points

After a long period of bad results, victory goes for the second time to Jaba! YAHOO!!!!! (… very unprofessional!)

The Aftermath:

Ranking almost unchanged after the 10th game. Even if Lena arrived for the time “only” 4th, she is still firmly in the 1st position. One position up for Jaba and Dion now respectively in 2nd and 8th position and 2 positions up for the newcomer Niels now in position 19. Jaba is again the best killer of the season with 14 hits followed by Lena with 12 and Giovanni with 9. Not big news about the bounties as well, with Lena still on top followed by Iason and Valeriu respectively with 188, 172 and 140 points.

It is getting boring…

Yes, Lena is the winner… again. 3^rd victory in a row that helps her to increase the already big gap from Giovanni. No surprises so, just confirmations!

The Aftermath:

Even if there are no changes in the top 5 positions, we have to spend few words on Lena. With this victory, she leaves a gap of more than 1000 points from the second at 752 points. And this is happening at 5 games to the end, so the points available are very few now.
She is even our best killer (alone this time) with a total of 12 hits and she has reached the record bounty of 200,27. It means that killing her you can probably earn about 40 points (what you earn with a 4th position usually).

About the other players, 5 of them have an improvement in the ranking, especially Mark that jumps from 17^th to 11^th position thanks to the 2^nd position achieved in the last game.

8th game with 8 people at Kira’s place enjoying delicious cakes

Lena, after skipping last week game, is back achieving again the victory, the second in a row. Second position for Oleg that finally quits his unlucky period.

The Aftermath:

Game almost close (?)! Lena, already 1st, winning the last game increases the distance from Giovanni, that will miss next game. She has about twice the score of the second, and considering that there are only 6 games left, the situation is becoming clear and the hope is almost gone.

Several records broken by Lena with the last game:

• player with most hits of the season (9, tie with Jaba)
• player with most 1st positions (2)
• still the only one to reach always the podium in any game (and always higher!)
• highest bounty (181,40)

Remarks to Jaba, Irene and Oleg, the only 3 players able to increase they position in the ranking (by 2, 4 and 5 positions respectively)

Last Saturday we had an away game in Germany at Yael & Edmund in their fairy tail tower. There, 7 players fought trying to take advantage of the very important absences of that day. But, luckily for the absentees, the victory went to the last new comer of the season: Dion! For him 1st position and 3 hits that make him to earn 332 points.

The Aftermath:

Top of the ranking unchanged, but still a lot of movement. Record for Dion that improves his position by 11 positions, from 19th to 8th. Good news for Hans and Yael too, with respectively 3 and 1 positions up. Iason still the main prey.

Special (negative!) remark to Jaba, that in the last 2 games was able to finish last both the times (not easy!) but not able to cover the 44 points that he needed to reach the podium. Even if both Patricio and Iason were absent giving him an amazing chance!
Furthermore, Jaba broke the (negative!) record of the fastest kicked player of the season (17 minutes), taking 3 minutes less then the previous record made by The Crow. The strange thing is that, as happened to Mark, Jaba was kicked out having QQ against AA… Lesson learned: never go all-in with QQ during the 1st round!

The address will be provided in the Facebook group. We need about one hour to arrive there by car, so I suggest to leave Eindhoven at 15.45.

Who can provide a car for the trip? Please write asap below who will join and who has the car, so that we can arrange the groups for each car.

In the case someone goes there by train, they are available to pick up people (max 4) at the Venlo station (but I hope we can handle the trip with the cars, without disturbing them). They even give the chance to stay over for the night. In that case, contact them asap.

Only 5 players joined the 6th game. After a quite long match, the victory goes to Lena, that keeps the trend to stay always on the podium!

The Aftermath:

Not so many surprises in the ranking. Lena, already in 1st position, increases the distance from Giovanni till 319 points. Now it is really difficult to reach her again.

Only Richard and Irene have an improvement in the ranking: Richard passes Meilof in 7th position and Irene passes from 17th to 11th position. Iason still 1st in the bounty ranking.
